Location of Portlaoise Enterprise Centre

Portlaoise is the county town of County Laois in the midlands of Ireland. The population in the 2006 national census was 14,275. The National Spatial Strategy for Ireland has identified Portlaoise as an ideal location for an inland port. Portlaoise stands at a major crossroads in the Irish roads network, with easy access to all the major cities and towns. The town has a railway station served by intercity trains between Dublin and Cork and by Dublin commuter services.
